back from the belly of the beast

i just got back from a 6-minute segment for FOX NEWS (yeah, the national affiliate), and i’m at home w/ tons of trampish makeup on (see left), sipping a glass of white wine. as far as i can tell, the whole thing went well. i talked really fast, i had some long-winded answers, and my “opponent” kept cutting me off. details? it was mostly a blur, so i’ll have to watch the segment and reconstruct some memories for myself too. we’ll see for sure this weekend if it went as not bad as i thought.
if you were wondering, the topic was liberal bias in academia. i was the token liberal.
the show i did was w/ larry elder, a somewhat well-known libertarian turned republican, and the guy i went up against was the spokesman for YAF, the young america’s foundation, the “principal outreach organization of the Conservative Movement.” let’s think about this for a second: trained spokesman for right-wing group vs. second-rate blogger. i’m pretty sure i talked more than he did, so in the cable news world, i think that means i win.
i have no idea when this thing will actually air, but all i hope is that i look hot. and smart.
when i find out more, i’ll let this blog know, and i’ll also post the youtube-alicious clip when i have it. this guy has a facebook group that says they love him. do you love me?
sounds like the classic foxnews deck-stacking backfired. well done, miss go.
Well done! Definitely let me know when it airs!
please take off all that scary make-up. i like my ali au natural.
Just watched the segment and you beat the snot out of that guy! First time seeing you, but was very impressed by the intelligent, witty, delightfully beautiful gal with brass and bravura! Definitely love ya and yeah, you looked SMOKIN’ HOT! Keep up the great work!
Way to go token liberal…
